Social Awareness for Voters
India is a democratic country, where the people have the right to choose their leader and this leader serves them for the next 05 years. Though it looks simple, but in fact, it’s not that easy. There is a big game going on under this simple process. People often are unaware of their voting rights and also don’t get any support from the government. The leaders also start neglecting them as soon as the election is over. Matdata Jagriti Sangathan has been working, ever since its existence, to make people aware about the value & power of their vote and to make the best use of it, by voting sensibly.
Legal Support
India is known as the largest democratic, secular, and sovereign country in the world. This is our pride that we are the citizens of India. But the people of India who belong to rural and remote areas and who live below the poverty line (BPL) are more neglected. Our NGO is committed to provide and protect the common people with all their fundamental rights, which they should get as a human being and as a citizen of India, through our constitution. We offer proper guidance and legal aid to the people who are deprived of these and are from poor, backward, and socioeconomic classes. As a welfare organization, helping these people and guiding them in the right way, is our primary task.
Skill Development
The society has conducted various skill development training programmes under the Livelihood Income generation programme for the youth. The society has conducted a Skill Development and Training program where one workshop was held for the self-employment of the youth. The members from SHG groups are engaged in the skill development programme where they can learn some new business ideas and get training on them. About 100 members from different SHGs have been trained in Horticulture and Production of Mixed Fruit Jam, etc. We also provide knowledge about our constitution, political issues and fundamental rights of the people.
Stop Addiction
Our NGO has started a campaign to prevent addiction to Liquors and other social evils, in which all the top authorities of the institution urge the responsible personalities in the society about the need for the de-addiction campaign. Liquor abuse has become a major challenge in today’s time. A large section of the society is in its grip. People are spoiling their lives due to addiction, wasting their money and happiness. The addiction to liquor causes intoxication for some time in which the person has a pleasant feeling, but the moment that feeling goes off, the person wants to take it again. And thus, within a few days, the person becomes addicted to these substances. The MJS has taken it seriously and is working against this social evil continuously, in association with the important persons in the society, as this campaign will be effective to save our young generation.
Women Empowerment
Empowerment of women and children is a sensitive issue that needs to be handled gently, but unfortunately, nothing much has been done in this direction by any government or the society itself, till date. Women are being harassed, tortured and killed daily, as there is no protection for them. No government has ever shown any interest towards this critical and crucial issue. The cases of rape, murder, acid attack, and molestation are getting higher and higher, day by day. The MJS NGO, has taken a firm step to stop all such sufferings, by educating people about women’s rights and making women aware of how to fight for justice. Let’s get together and raise a firm voice to end all such evils against half of our population and enable them to live their lives with pride.
